Nepal stock market, NEPSE saw a small drop on Tuesday. The NEPSE index fell by 0.53% and closed at 2644.70.
During the trading session, NEPSE had climbed as high as 2652 at 12:51 PM, which became the highest point of the day.
The market had also fallen the previous day by 4 points. Today, the trading amount went down as well. On the previous day, transactions were worth Rs 4.71 billion, but today they decreased to Rs 4.48 billion.

A total of 125 companies saw their share prices rise, while 119 companies declined and 13 remained unchanged. All sector indices moved less than 1% throughout the day.
The Banking sector fell by 0.58%, Hotels and Tourism by 0.62%, Investment by 0.04%, Life Insurance by 0.57%, and Microfinance by 0.06%.
Meanwhile, Development Banks rose by 0.17%, Finance by 0.27%, Hydropower by 0.70%, Manufacturing and Processing by 0.51%, and Non-life Insurance by 0.26%. Other sectors stayed flat.
Even though the market dipped, the share prices of six companies jumped by 10%. These companies include Sagar Distillery, Swastik Laghubitta, Jhapa Energy, Mabilung Energy, Bungal Hydropower, and Srinagar Agritech.
Rasuwa Gadhi Hydropower gained 8.61%, Bikas Hydropower rose 6.48%, Daramkhola Hydropower increased 6.27%, and Peoples Hydropower climbed 6.18%.
On the other hand, Green Ventures saw the biggest loss, falling 9.85%. Standard Chartered Bank dropped 3.88%, and Pokhara Finance slipped 2.50%.
The five most-traded companies today were Union Hydropower, Mountain Energy, Ngadi Group, Green Ventures, and United Modi Hydropower.
